We Are a Small Scale Farm in Whitefield, NHIn 2015 we were fortunate to purchase 11 acres of land with a house in beautiful Whitefield, NH. Much of the land has a significant slope but there is a decent-sized somewhat "flat enough" spot and we have been slowly building up our gardens here. The other areas are being planted with a wide variety of fruit, nut, and other trees, some of which are a gamble to grow here in zone 4! We have fun experimenting with what we grow, and hope these plants will one day provide for our community.
Our goal is to produce delicious nutritious food for people in the White Mountain and North Country community, while also feeding the soil and creating a diverse habitat for all living creatures. We believe food can be grown in balance with nature, not fighting against it. We have not tilled our soil and never spray pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides on our property, with the exception of neem oil on our fruit trees. We are certified organic through Vermont Organic Farmers, which is a USDA accredited certifier. |
